Make Something Social Media Worthy in Your Business
This idea has been mulling around in my head for about a year now and I’ve never found the moment to blog about it. So about a year ago I went to a restaurant in Downtown San Diego called Cafe 21. I had never been there before but it looked pretty neat inside and my friend had recommended it.
While we were there, we ordered a simple brunch, but no drinks unfortunately because I was on a budget. (Hey starting your own agency is not a inexpensive undertaking). But as I looked around the room, I saw these extraordinary drinks coming out from the bar. They had bell peppers, olives, celery, and even prawns sticking out of them. They looked incredible!
Then what I saw after was even better. Customers were also pretty enamored with their new drinks as well, and took photos and posted them on Facebook and Instagram! They tagged the business to show their friends where they got such a cool drink from.
So point being, if you’re looking to boost your social media following and get people talking about you, having something in your business that’s social media worthy. We recommended one of our dog grooming clients to make a cool little photo station for her and her clients to take pictures after a fresh grooming. If you’re a restaurant, work to make just even one dish or drink look extravagant so that people will want to share it with their friends. If you’re a clothing store, create an amazing display that customers can interact with.
Also post a suggested hashtag or social media handle on your menu, brochures, and displays. This way customers will be encouraged to tag your business and feature it for their friends.
